Built by golf parents, for golf families.
As parents of a young golfer in the Western Cape, we know how exciting junior golf can be. We’ve also seen how hard it can be to find clear, useful information, especially in the beginning.
Once your child starts playing, you start searching for information about lessons, tournaments, school golf, handicaps, club memberships, green fees, clinics and competitions. The problem is that the information is often spread across WhatsApp groups, club notices, Facebook posts, PDFs and word of mouth.
The Junior Tee brings the basics together in one place, based on research, local information and what we have learned over the years as golf parents.
Here you’ll find information about:
- Junior golf tournaments and events
- Academies and coaching options
- Beginner-friendly places to play
- School golf and holiday clinics
- Simple guides for parents who are new to the sport
We are not a golf academy, club or official golf body. We are golf parents creating the kind of information hub we wished we had when we first started.
The Junior Tee is here for parents, players, coaches, clubs and anyone who wants to help junior golf grow in the Western Cape.

Help us keep The Junior Tee relevant.
The Junior Tee works best when the local golf community helps fill in the gaps.
If you are a parent, golf course, coach, caddie, school, academy or anyone with useful junior golf information to share, we’d love to hear from you. This could be a tournament date, holiday clinic, beginner-friendly playing option, coaching programme, school golf update or a tip that would help families new to the game.
The more local information we can bring together, the easier it becomes for young golfers and their families to find their next step.
